Vilnius University Department of Social work is organizing an international scientific workshop “Baltic States After the crisis? Transformation of Welfare Systems and Social Problems” to be held on 24-25 of November 2016.
The aim of the workshop is to discuss welfare system reforms which have been implemented during the recent financial and economic crisis of 2008/2010 and post-crisis period, and major social problems in the three Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania).
The participants are required to present developed original papers in English on the following topics:
- social policy reforms;
- poverty, inequality and well-being;
- migration and ethnic minorities;
- family policy and gender;
- social trust and social policy.
